Terms of Use

Effective date: March 31, 2026

Welcome to QRbuild. These terms govern your use of our website, tools, and services at qrbuild.io. By using QRbuild you agree to these terms. If something here doesn’t sit right with you, please reach out before using the service — we’re happy to talk it through.

1. What QRbuild is

QRbuild is a QR code generator. Our free tier lets you create static QR codes with no account required. We also offer (or plan to offer) paid tiers — Pro at $9/mo and Business at $29/mo — that add features like scan tracking, analytics, dynamic QR codes, and more. We’ll be upfront about what’s included in each tier on our pricing page.

2. Acceptable use

We built QRbuild to help people connect the physical and digital worlds in useful, honest ways. To keep the platform safe for everyone, please don’t use it to:

  • Link to illegal content or activities
  • Create QR codes that direct people to phishing pages, malware, or scams
  • Distribute content that infringes on someone else’s copyright or trademarks
  • Generate QR codes in bulk for spam or deceptive purposes
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with our systems

Basically: use QRbuild the way you’d want others to use it. If you’re unsure whether something is okay, just ask.

3. Keeping the platform safe

If we find that an account or QR code violates these terms, we may disable the QR code, suspend the account, or remove the content. We don’t take these steps lightly — the goal is to protect the people scanning your codes and to keep QRbuild trustworthy for everyone. Where possible, we’ll notify you and give you a chance to fix the issue before taking action.

4. Pricing and payments

Our free tier is free — no hidden costs. For paid plans, the current pricing is listed on our pricing page. We may adjust pricing from time to time as we add features and grow. If we do:

  • Existing subscriberswill receive at least 30 days’ notice before any price change takes effect on their account.
  • New signups will see the current pricing at the time they subscribe.

We’ll never surprise you with a higher bill.

5. Service availability

We work hard to keep QRbuild fast and available, but we can’t guarantee 100% uptime. Things like maintenance windows, third-party outages, or unexpected issues can cause brief interruptions. The free tier is provided on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantees. Paid tiers will include improved reliability commitments as those plans launch.

6. Who owns what

Your stuff is yours. The QR codes you create, the URLs you encode, and any content you bring to QRbuild belong to you. We don’t claim ownership over your content.

Our stuff is ours. The QRbuild name, logo, website design, and underlying platform code are owned by QRbuild (operated by Catch Digital). You can’t copy, redistribute, or rebrand our platform.

A note on branding:Free-tier scan report emails and shared reports may include QRbuild branding (such as a “Powered by QRbuild” line). Paid plans will offer the option to remove or customize this branding.

7. Data and privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using QRbuild, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of liability

We do our best to make QRbuild reliable and useful, but we provide it “as is.” In plain language, that means:

  • We’re not responsible for what happens when someone scans a QR code you created — the destination content is your responsibility.
  • If something goes wrong (a bug, downtime, data loss), our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the past 12 months. For free-tier users, that means zero.
  • We won’t be liable for indirect damages like lost revenue, lost data, or missed opportunities.

This isn’t about avoiding accountability — it’s about setting realistic expectations for a tool that’s largely free to use.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you — through an email, a banner on the site, or a note in your account dashboard. Continued use of QRbuild after a change means you accept the updated terms.
